Let's All Join Hands...Or Chainlink...

<><><><><><><><>

...and defend our borders.

Yeah, I know, some bleeding heart lib/progressive *I* turned out to be, huh? Here I find myself agreeing with some of the worst guys on the dark side. And 36 others. Those in the House who voted for H.R. 4437. (This time the Senate has lost all sense of reason.)

Well, if I truly believe what I preach about agreeing with what's right, no matter who espouses it, and accepting help on it from ANY quarter, as necessary, then what kind of hypocrite would I be if I lock-stepped agreed with those Dem leaders whom I believe to be on the wrong side of this issue?

First, there can be no "reform" of immigration laws until the existing laws are enforced. Illegal immigration must stop. I also happen to believe we CAN find the illegals in our midst and either deport or imprison them. Will it cost money? Yes. Does our invasion and occupation of Iraq cost money, to the current tune of 8.1 to 9.9 BILLION DOLLARS A MONTH? Yes.

Those who have hired them should be fined and/or imprisoned also. Yes, folks, it's a felony.

I know that not only SOUNDS harsh - it IS harsh. But if we follow Bush and his new Democrat friends on the amnesty issue, and the "guest worker" crap, where will it end? Do we have the resources to accept the unemployed and the under-employed from not only Mexico, but from all those other third-world nations around the globe? Are YOU willing to adopt a family from Mexico or any other "developing" nation, and personally pay for their shelter, food, clothing, health care, etc., etc.?

Because don't you find it racist in the extreme to agree to pay for the poor and unemployed Mexicans, but not for those from Angola, Burundi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Burkina Faso, Mali, Somalia, Sierra Leone or Niger? Are we not our brother's keeper? Are we not all brothers under the skin? Are we not all children of God? Would we heap iPods and cell phones upon one of our children and neglect the others? How can we neglect those poor and unemployed who can't just walk across an unprotected border into the real land of milk and honey and streets paved with gold?

The corrupt Mexican government should be made to pay for it's own citizens, or provide employment for them, and not slough them off to the taxpayers of the United States. We're already paying taxes to support the rich in our own country. Now we should pay for the poor of another country? I don't think so. We shouldn't be paying for the rising expenses for emergency room health care, rising insurance rates from uninsured drivers, and social programs and education for the kids of non-taxed workers.

But make no mistake about it, we are paying now, big time, through our taxes and higher costs for crime with impunity (identity theft, etc.) and disease (tuberculosis, etc.), for the estimated 10 to 20 million illegal aliens currently residing in the United States of America. With an estimated 3 million continuing to come every year. And after seeing the carrot of amnesty, (Bush's "stick" is a twig) assuredly many more. And I don't care how Bush and the corporations cloak it, it's still amnesty. And it still is a slap in the face to those who came here, and those who want to come here, LEGALLY.

You see my point. As Jesus is alleged to have said: "The poor you will always have with you" (Matthew 26:11) If we allow the poor of other nations to occupy us, we will all be poor. Which is, by the way, the goal of the one world, multinational corporations.

What we have now, gentle reader, in the new Amerika as envisioned by the neocons, is an invasion. It should be dealt with as such. At the very least, we should treat illegal Mexican aliens entering our country as stringently as the Mexican government treats any illegal alien found entering THEIR country... --DN

P.S. You want to debate the circumstances of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, feel free. The Mexicans might have a point there. But, as Republicans are fond of saying: That was then, this is now.

From here:

Build the wall, electrify it if necessary
Fine and jail every employer who hires illegal aliens
No in-state tuition for illegals
Illegal aliens attempting to vote in any Federal, State or Local election shall be imprisoned for 10 years in our tent-city jails and put to work in the fields, followed by deportation
No more anchor babies for illegals - no automatic citizenship
No visa increases for importing cheap foreign labor
No government funded multilingual programs for anyone - legal or illegal No health care for illegals unless it is a true emergency
Remaining health care costs for illegals shall be billed to their home country
No food stamps for illegals
Eliminate all multicultural programs in government funded schools
No amnesty for illegals
No taxpayer funded K-12 education for illegals
Outlaw the display of foreign flags except at embassies and consulates
No drivers licenses for illegals
Add a 50% tax all on all money sent to home countries by illegals
No bank accounts or credit cards for illegals
No guest-worker scams for illegals
No home mortgages for illegals
Add a 50% tax on transfers by money laundering companies like Western Union
Force all Mexican consulates to shut down in every state.
Eliminate tax-exempt status for radical hate groups like LULAC, MEChA, etc.
Authorize all local police to enforce federal immigration laws
Demand full cooperation from foreign countries
If they don’t comply, cut off all foreign aid
Repeal anti-American trade pacts like NAFTA, CAFTA
Replace every traitor in government with America First patriots
Always put the interest of America and Americans first - if our government won’t do it, who will?
And more…

Note: Once our country has the gumption to do most of the items above, the illegals will head back to where they came from. Without jobs and free handouts from American taxpayers, they will pack up and head out. Any remaining illegals should be sent to tent-city jails and put to work in the fields until they are deported. All money they earn from the growers will be put in a fund to cover the cost of the jail. All costs for incarceration and deportation will be paid by the illegal aliens’ home country. If they refuse to pay, we cut off their foreign aid.

See, it’s simple after all. Let’s do it!

"No taxpayer funded K-12 education for illegals."

Besides the whole "sins of the father" thing, there is no benefit to NOT educating the children of illegal immigrants. Educated children turn into adults who are capable of holding a steady job and contributing to society. When you don't make enough money to eat, paying taxes isn't a huge concern. When you earn a living wage because you are literate and have employable skills, you can contribute to the economic and social development of the nation.

It's possible you may have missed the point. No one here disagrees with the positive aspects of education for all of any nation's citizens. But you make the case for abandoning the whole "if you're born in the U.S. you're automatically a U.S. citizen" thing. It's a poor policy to allow a legality to issue from illegal acts. When the law was formed it was not anticipated to be used in such a manner. It's become a loophole. If foreign-born parents enter LEGALLY and then have a child, no one, I believe, has a problem with that child being declared a citizen.

Following your argument to logical conclusions leads to the question of who cares for the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of that "U.S. citizen" child while he/she is attending U.S. schools? The parents, as illegal aliens, have been deported. Is that child then living with, say, YOU? Are you providing the money to support this child? On a student teacher's salary? Are the parents reimbursing you for the child's care? How many other children can you handle? There are lots of 'anchor babies' to go around. Step right up and claim some.

Now, how about keeping that child with the parents of that child, and sending them all back to Mexico (or wherever), where the Mexican government and its social support system can care for and educate the child if the parents cannot, similar to the welfare system in place here? What? Mexico can't do it because the government is corrupt and chaotic and broke? And whose fault is that? And why should U.S. taxpayers take up the slack just because we share a common border?

Have you also noticed the statistics regarding school dropouts in the U.S., and who's doing the dropping out? And pointing to the facts is not racism.

No one ever promised anyone that life would be fair. If you can't afford to RAISE children, you shouldn't HAVE children. No matter WHERE you live. Sorry, but that's the truth.

OK - bottom line: What part of "ILLEGAL" are too many failing to understand? You can call them "undocumented immigrants" all you want, as if that confers some sort of legality, but it won't make it so. They are illegal aliens, and they (and their progeny, IMO), should be deported.

This PC language, BTW, which turns common sense on its head is, frankly, out of hand and just plain nuts. For another instance, calling creationism "intelligent design" and asking it to be taught in taxpayer-supported SCIENCE classes, of all places, is yet another example of the Orwellian world created by the current administration and its propeller-beanie proponents.
